 Chapter 10.20. SPEED LIMIT INCREASES*

§ 10.20.010. Designated.

  • It is determined upon the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation that the speed permitted by state law upon the following streets is less than is necessary for safe operation of vehicles thereon by reason of the designation and signposting of such streets as through streets and/or by reason of widely-spaced intersections, and it is declared that the prima facie speed limits shall be as hereinafter set forth on those streets or parts of streets herein designated when signs are erected giving notice thereof:

    2. Ventura Street to McMurry Drive Thirty miles per hour

    5. Shady Lane to Stingy Lane Thirty miles per hour

    B. Dodson Lane:

    C. McMurry Drive:
    1. Balls Ferry Road to North Street Thirty-five miles per hour
    D. North Street:
    1. Highway 273 to East Street Thirty miles per hour
    2. East Street to McMurry Drive Thirty miles per hour
    3. McMurry Drive to Stingy Lane Forty miles per hour
    4. Stingy Lane to City Limit Thirty-five miles per hour
    E. Ox Yoke Road:
    1. Highway 273 to Riverside Avenue Forty miles per hour
    F. Piñon Avenue:
    1. Highway 273 to Bruce Twenty-five miles per hour
    2. Bruce to Yellow Finch Twenty-five miles per hour
    G. Riverside Avenue:
    1. North Street to Alexander Avenue Forty miles per hour
    H. Rupert Road:
    1. Stingy Lane to Anderson River Park Thirty-five miles per hour
    2. Anderson River Park Entrance to Dodson Lane Fifteen miles per hour
    I. South Street:
    1. Highway 273 to City Limit Thirty-five miles per hour
    J. Stingy Lane:
    1. Balls Ferry Road to Rupert Road Thirty-five miles per hour
    2. Rupert Road to North Street Thirty-five miles per hour
